Enclosed between the Karakorum and Himalayan chains, the Ladakh or « Iittle tibet » is a montanious land of over 11 483 high feet. A desert of rock and stone where the human presence is barely noticed. Villages, houses and monasteries are built on peaks, melting themselves perfectly between the naked stones of the moutains. Each aspect of this landscape reveals unity and research of harmony between human and the surrounding nature.
